Survey into Council Tax Debt

Our colleagues at Kincardine & Mearns Citizens Advice Bureau in Stonehaven are carrying out some research into Council Tax Debt to try and understand people's experience of the situation.

With the continued pressures on household budgets from the cost of living crisis, all too often people can get behind with bills. Last year Citizens Advice Scotland saved people an average of £830 on their Council Tax Bill.

Advisers at your local bureau can give you free, confidential and impartial advice and can check for any Council Tax discounts/reduction and exemptions you may be eligible for and give advice for managing Council Tax Debt if you have fallen into arrears.
